Personality
Most of Crow's personality is based around what he is, rather than who. Being made into a Devilman has erased near-all of the human he once was - all memories, experiences, likes and dislikes, everything that shaped up who he once was has been deleted and replaced with pre-programmed rules and traits.
Worse, any attempt of rebuilding himself Crow makes is ultimately doomed to fail. If he transforms to fight, random parts of his newly made memories will be permanently erased. If he dies, he'll be reset back to factor-setting. No matter what he does, his mind is screwed. With no good way for him to even just figure out what he’s forgotten, any attempts of lasting personal growth will forever remain a pipe dream.
This has led Crow to a very isolated perspective on interacting with others. His credo is that there is no such things as eternal friends or eternal enemies; only profit never changes. That’s why he has chosen to embrace the general Smuggler traits he was programmed with. Crow is proud of being cold, arrogant, self-centered and ruthless. While he can be playful and even charismatic with his customers, he is also a cynic survivor to the core who has no patience for those who try to take the moral high ground with him. In such cases he enjoys throwing their own arguments back in their face while he mocks them about their hypocrisy.
However, while Crow will cheerily admit that he has killed more people than he can remember and that he couldn't give a fig about who he sells his weapon to and what evils will be done with them, he doesn't take any joy out of it either. To him, it's simply business.
That isn't to say that having been turned into a Devilman and being programmed has managed to erase all of the person he once was. Crow's ego is so strong that it even has him break with what is the 'norm' for other Devilmen -- ambitions, loyalty, holding grudges over getting killed and aiming for a higher spot in the Organization's hierarchy are all pointless to him. And while he is the first to keep pointing out how unlike him his relationship with Vergil is, his actions keep betraying his words. (Though he is still confused why people will point out that the lengths the kid will go for him must be a sign of genuine love, and... Well, making meaningful bonds with people is something he simply doesn't get anymore.)
There are other remnants of his past left in him, too. Crow doesn't remember his past as an abused street orphan, but even as an uncaring Devilman he still scoffs at the idea that he’s ought to treat somebody differently just because of their age, gender or rank. He still hates filthy things or being filthy himself, and while it's normal for all Devilmen that making deals is a Big Thing for them, none of them will react as violently to people breaking or twisting their words in their favor as Crow does. And oddly enough he keeps trying to enjoy hard alcohol, no matter how often he keeps forgetting and finding out the hard way that he hates its taste.
Regardless, Crow is known for his straightforwardness among his peers. While he is a quick learner and does know how to maintain a decent facade regarding his Amnesia, he'll more often than not just simply say what's on his mind, consequences be damned.
Crow is simple, and kinda dumb and a not-so-natural born killer with very little ethics that weren't programmed into him, but he's also fiercely loyal to what little of himself is left. He has two main goals left in this 'un-life' of his; the first being to live freely and the second is to find his little brother again. Forgetting even about him is the thing Crow fears the most.
